1490 Southern Boulevard

1490 Southern Boulevard is a 100% affordable housing development designed for Type A Real Estate Advisers LLC , a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise, which was designated by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development for this a mixed-use project in the Crotona Park East neighborhood of the Bronx. The development team includes Forsyth Street Advisors LLC and non-profit partner JASA.

The building, recently completed, contains 115 units of senior housing including a number of dwellings for the formerly homeless. On-site supportive services for the residents are being provided by JASA. BA also designed a large garden in the rear yard and a communal terrace space on the 8th floor which complement building amenities including a fitness space and large community room. Many spaces have expansive views of the South Bronx and Manhattan. Construction was completed in late 2020.
